Digital TV Antenna Installation Melbourne: Fixing Reception for Good – Auztech Security

Pixelated or dropped-out channels? Auztech Security installs and repositions digital TV antennas across Melbourne for reliable free-to-air reception.

A dying antenna is one of those problems people live with for months before calling anyone — pixelated channels, dropouts every time it's windy, one working TV and one that isn't. Auztech Security fields these calls constantly, and it's rarely as simple as "buy a new antenna."

What's Usually Actually Wrong
  • The antenna itself has corroded or been storm-damaged and was never replaced, just left in place
  • It was never positioned or oriented correctly for your specific address in the first place
  • Old, degraded cabling or cheap splitters are killing signal before it even reaches the TV
  • A house move left an undocumented antenna setup nobody's actually checked
  • Multiple TVs are drawing off one signal with no proper amplification
Why Position Matters More Than the Antenna Itself

Melbourne's reception issues vary suburb to suburb — inner areas can get interference from surrounding buildings, while outer growth corridors like Truganina, Werribee and Melton are simply further from broadcast towers. A digital TV antenna that works perfectly two streets away can underperform at your address for reasons that aren't obvious from the ground. Our technicians test actual signal strength at your property before deciding on positioning, rather than mounting in the same spot as last time and hoping.

What's Included in a Proper Fix
  • On-site signal assessment specific to your address
  • Supply and installation of an antenna suited to your reception zone
  • Clean cabling and correctly rated splitters for multi-TV homes
  • Testing across all major free-to-air channels before we leave
  • Safe, insured rooftop work
Worth Combining With Other Work

If you're already having TV wall mounting or pre-wiring done, it's worth fixing antenna issues in the same visit rather than booking a separate trade later.

The Best Home Security Camera System in 2026: An Installer’s Honest Comparison

Image
The Best Home Security Camera System in 2026: An Installer’s Honest Comparison Every “best security camera” article you’ve read was written by someone who has never drilled a hole in a wall. They rank cameras by spec sheet. We install these systems in Melbourne homes every week, then get called back when something doesn’t work — which teaches you very different things about which cameras are actually good. This is a straight comparison of the four brands we install: Dahua , Hikvision , HiLook and Uniview . We stock all of them. We have no reason to push you toward one. First: The Thing Nobody Tells You The brand matters less than the install. A $2,000 camera system mounted at the wrong height, aimed at the wrong angle, with the recorder sitting in plain sight by the front door, is worse than an $800 system installed properly. The three things that actually determine whether your cameras identify an intruder: Height and angle. Cameras mounted too high see the top of a head. 2.5-3...
